The following 30 countries have already qualified for the World Cup: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cameroon, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Ghana, Iran, Japan, Korea Republic, Morocco, Mexico, Netherlands, Qatar, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, Uruguay, United States, Wales.

Africa World Cup Qualifiers

Qualified for the World Cup:: Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia.

10 teams have reached the final round of the World Cup qualification in Africa. The winners of the five matches qualify for the final tournament.

The confrontations consist of two matches in March 2022:

  • Egypt - Senegal (Senegal wins on penalties)
  • Cameroon - Algaria (Cameroon win by away goal)
  • Nigeria - Ghana (Ghana wins by away goal)
  • Congo - Morocco
  • Mali - Tunisia

World Cup qualification Asia

Qualified for the World Cup: Iran, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia. Australia.

Qualified for the Asia play-offs: Australia, United Arab Emirates.

Five or six teams from Asia qualify for the World Cup. There are two groups, of which the top 2 qualify directly.

The two numbers 3 play one duel against each other, to decide who will advance to the intercontinental play-offs against a country from South America.

  • June 7: United Arab Emirates - Australia 1-2
  • June 13 : Australia - Peru 0-0 (5-4 penalties)

Australia win the play-offs against Peru on penalties.

Qualified for the World Cup: Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, United States.

Qualified for the Intercontinental Playoffs: Costa Rica.

  • June: New Zealand - Costa Rica 0-1

Three or four countries from North and Central America will qualify for the final tournament as delegates from the Concacaf. The top three in the group qualify directly, the number four plays intercontinental play-offs against a country from Oceania.

World Cup qualification Oceania

Qualified for the intercontinental play-offs: New Zealand.

Zero or one team will represent Oceania at the Middle East football tournament. There are two groups; the winner of group A will play against the number 2 of group B and the winner of group B will play against the number 2 of group A. The final will be played by the winners of both semi-finals. The winner of the final will play intercontinental play-offs.

World Cup qualification South America

Qualified for the World Cup: Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay.

Qualified for the intercontinental play-offs: Peru.

  • June 13: Australia - Peru 0-0 (5-4 penalties)

Australia win the play-offs against Peru on penalties.

Four or five countries from South America qualify for the 2022 World Cup, as delegates from CONMEBOL.

There is one group and the top 4 qualify directly, while the number 5 plays intercontinental play-offs.
