While Waiting For The Next World Cup: Here Are Other Football Leagues To Follow

The Premier League 2023-24 Season

Since we’re almost halfway through the 32nd season of the Premier League, there is still plenty of time to see how the next rounds will pan out. Looking at the premier league odds, it is pretty clear that Manchester City is dominating.

The chances of them taking home the trophy are favourable. However, other favourites also stand out when looking closely at the odds. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the top four favourite teams. It is essential to be critical, as Spurs’  numbers don’t match the position in the table.

Other teams have had a rougher start to the season, like Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle. This is why Bournemouth is at the bottom of the table and looking towards relegation alongside Burnley and Sheffield United.

Serie A

Italians are just as passionate about their football as they are about their cuisine, which is why watching Serie A is always an enjoyable experience. In the 122nd season, we have already witnessed 209 goals across 20 teams. As of October 2023, four teams are at the top and will qualify for the Champions League phase: AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina. Some matches have been more exciting than others.

Furthermore, there have also been shocking games like Juventus’ 4-2 loss against Sassuolo. While Juventus had a pretty good start to the season, this match became a reality check for the Bianconeri.

Bundesliga

As the current season Bundesliga kicked off in August, it has been worth the wait. As we reach halfway through the season, we see the table take form. Bayer Leverkusen has had a strong transfer window, which could bear fruit in the upcoming season. Leverkusen is moving towards the top after a strong start, as they were unbeaten in six matches.

However, the question is whether they will be able to defeat the 11th-time defending champions Bayern Munich. With four wins and two draws, including one against Leverkusen, they are delivering solid results.

La Liga

Moving from Germany to Spain, La Liga is always the base for exhilarating matches. Currently, Real Madrid is sitting at the top spot, as they have an impressive record of 8 wins and one loss. Real Madrid has shown how their tactics are full force, and players are in their best form.

However, they must look over their shoulder as Girona are in hot pursuit. While many would have expected Barcelona to be in second place, Girona has become a dark horse, thanks to their attacking and fighting spirit. A potent offence and sturdy defence have made them a strong opponent for Real Madrid.

Euro 2024 Qualifiers

While we anticipate the next World Cup, why not look at some of the best international teams in Europe? Teams are currently clashing to reach the UEFA Euro 2024 final tournament, which has shown some exhilarating matches. As 53 teams join in battle, we already see how some teams will likely reach the tournament.

Nine teams have already reserved a spot at Euro 2024 next year, as Spain, France, England, and Portugal are at the top of the tables. At the play-offs next year, teams will have one last chance to qualify for the tournament.
